I used to spend much of my time absorbed in watching TV. However, the first year that I was in college, I weaned myself off of TV by collecting videos. I reasoned that at least this way I would have control over what I watched. It worked. Now hardly ever watch TV (except for the Simpsons) and mostly watch videos while eating. For some reason I've developed a need for visual stimulus while I eat.

By now I have over 300 movies on video tape. I am surrounded by potential visual stimulation. However, I still often feel like I have nothing to watch.
